For almost three decades, St John’s Anglican Church has been ministering to the street community of Darlinghurst.
Before Rough Edges, St John’s operated PJ’s Café in Forbes St. After PJ’s closed, Roughies opened its doors in 1996.
Since that time Rough Edges has operated with a few different models, and been run by a number of fantastic people.
Currently, Penny Barletta is the St John’s Community Services Team Leader. She oversees the staff who run our programmes, and also recruits, resources and releases the one hundred volunteers who run Rough Edges.
