International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Today is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. In the afternoon, the 5th annual vigil will be held to honour the women and children tragically murdered by domestic violence in the past 12 months. It will mark the start of 16 days of activism to end violence against women and girls.

This campaign is organised by the NSW Vigil Collective and @hopeandhealretreat. Banksia Women support this event and will come together with the wider community to honour the lives taken by domestic violence and call on systemic and cultural change because, #enoughisenough.

If you feel triggered or need help, please reach out and how to help. You can call 1800 RESPECT.
